The Americans were seeking their first-ever World Cup title in Greco-Roman wrestling. United States wrestlers Joe Warren, Jacob Clark and Dremiel Byers each finished 3-0 in the World Cup. Turkey beat Russia in the third-place match Sunday while Iran beat Georgia to take fifth in Antalya, Turkey. |

Katie Downing won a silver medal at 67 kg/147.5 lbs., the lone American to win a medal on Sunday during the Kiev International in Ukraine. Two U.S. women placed fifth after dropping bronze-medal bouts. All four U.S. men's freestylers were defeated in their opening bouts. |

The U.S. beat Russia and lost to Iran in its pool on Saturday, but won the pool by virtue of most matches won. World champions Joe Warren and Dremiel Byers went 2-0 on Saturday as did 2006 U.S. World Team member Jacob Clark. |
