125: Luke Eustice (Iowa) maj. dec. Bobbe Lowe (Minnesota), 13-3  1st Period:  Eustice scored two takedowns and began to establish early control in taking a 4-1 lead.    2nd Period:  After choosing bottom and scoring an escape, Eustice scored two more takedowns to extend his lead to 9-2.    3rd Period:  Lowe chose bottom and Eustice gave him an escape to cut the lead to 9-3, but Eustice, who owned over 2 minutes of riding time, extended his lead with another takedown with one minute left in the match. Eustice was awarded one more point for riding time.    133: Cliff Moore (Iowa) dec. Ryan Lewis (Minnesota), 12-8  1st Period:  Moore was called twice for stalling, giving Lewis a 1-0 lead going into the second period.    2nd Period:  Lewis chose bottom and earned an escape to take a 2-0 lead. Lewis added two takedowns and Moore scored a takedown of his own as Lewis took a 6-3 lead into the second period.    3rd Period:  Moore chose neutral and scored a takedown to cut the lead to 6-5. The two traded reversals, but with 54 seconds remaining, Moore scored three back points to take a 10-8. Lewis was called twice for stalling and Moore also had riding time.    141: Luke Moffitt (Iowa) dec. Tommy Owen (Minnesota), 6-3  1st Period:  Owen scored a takedown with 30 seconds left, but Moffitt fought back and scored a reversal with 15 seconds remaining for a 2-2 score.    2nd Period:  Moffitt chose bottom and earned an escape. Moffitt locked a cradle after an Owen shot but was unable to score back points off of it.    3rd Period:  Owen chose bottom and had a lot of trouble creating space to earn the escape. With less than one minute to go, Owen earned an escape, but not until after Moffitt earned riding time.    149: Jared Lawrence (Minnesota) maj. dec. Ty Eustice (Iowa), 16-4  1st Period:  Lawrence scored a takedown after a using snap-down for a setup. Lawrence gave Eustice an escape after building up some riding time. Eustice was warned for stalling just before Lawrence scored on an ankle pick to take a 4-1 lead.    2nd Period:  After riding Eustice to start the period, Lawrence let Eustice up and immediately scored a double-leg for a 6-2 lead. Eustice was warned again for stalling to give Lawrence a 7-2 lead.    3rd Period:  Lawrence chose bottom, earned an escape and scored three takedowns. Eustice was warned again for stalling, giving Lawrence two more points as well.    157: Luke Becker (Minnesota) maj. dec. Matt Anderson (Iowa), 12-2  1st Period:  Anderson was able to slow the action down with tie-ups and underhooks. Becker had two good shots in the period, scoring on the second one late in the period for a 2-0 lead.    2nd Period:  Becker chose bottom and scored an escape for a 3-0 lead. Scoring continued to stay minimal as Anderson was thwarting Becker's offense with the tie-up. Becker scored a takedown with 15 seconds left in the period.    3rd Period:  Anderson chose bottom and earned an escape. Becker was able to score another takedown and gain over one minute of riding time, but Anderson scored an escape to cut the lead to 7-2 with 45 seconds left. Becker scored on a single-leg takedown and was able to score two back points late in the period.    165: Jacob Volkmann (Minnesota) dec. Jason D'Agata (Iowa), 7-3  1st Period:  Volkmann scored a double-leg putting D'Agata to his back but he was unable to score back points. With 5 seconds left in the period, D'Agata scored an escape to cut the lead to 2-1.    2nd Period:  D'Agata chose bottom. Volkmann was able to tilt D'Agata 30 seconds into the period for two back points, giving Volkmann a 4-1 lead.    3rd Period:  Volkmann chose neutral. D'Agata scored a takedown to cut the lead to 4-3, but Volkmann scored a reversal seconds later for a 6-3 lead.    174: Tyler Nixt (Iowa) dec. Josh McLay (Minnesota), 4-1  1st Period:  No scoring in the period. McLay was warned for stalling as Nixt had a couple of good scoring opportunities.    2nd Period:  McLay chose bottom. Nixt continued to be the aggressor, getting deep on a single-leg at one point, but he was unable to score.    3rd Period:  Nix chose bottom and scored a quick escape to tie the match at 1-1. Nixt scored a takedown on a high-crotch to take a 3-1 advantage midway through the period. Nixt earned 1:27 riding time.    184: Jessman Smith (Iowa) maj. dec. Matt Nagel (Minnesota), 19-5  1st Period:  Smith scored two takedowns in the first period, both on a high-crotch, for a 4-1 lead.    2nd Period:  Nagel chose bottom and Smith let him up right away. Smith continued to dominate the match, scoring three takedowns in the period and receiving one point for stalling calls.    3rd Period:  Smith chose neutral in the final period and went for major points for the Hawkeyes. Nagel was warned again for stalling and Smith scored three more takedowns for the 19-5 win.    197: Ryan Fulsaas (Iowa) dec. Jacob Lininger (Minnesota), 7-4  1st Period:  Fulsaas scored a takedown immediately to take a 2-0 lead in the match. Lininger cut the lead to 2-1 after an escape.    2nd Period:  Fulsaas chose neutral and Lininger scored a takedown to take a 3-2 lead. Fulsaas scored a reversal while Lininger was riding too high and held off an escape attempt by Lininger to hold on to a 4-3 lead going into the final period.    3rd Period:  Lininger chose bottom and had trouble getting away as Fulsaas gained a riding time advantage. Lininger scored an escape to tie the match at 4-4 but Fulsaas had riding time. Fulsaas finished with a takedown with 20 seconds remaining.    285: Steve Mocco (Iowa) maj. dec. Garrett Lowney (Minnesota), 12-2  1st Period:  Mocco scored on a snap-down after spinning behind Lowney. With one minute left, Lowney earned an escape to cut the lead to 2-1.    2nd Period:  Mocco chose bottom and quickly earned an escape to extend his lead to 3-1. After a stall warning to Lowney, Mocco scored a takedown on a foot sweep for a 5-1 advantage.    3rd Period:  Lowney chose bottom, scored an escape and was warned for stalling again. Mocco scored another takedown to take an 8-2 lead. Lowney gave up another stall warning and had many problems throughout the match with his neck and shoulder.
