Sammie Henson of the USA met Namik Abdullaev of Azerbaijan in the gold-medal finals at the 1998 World Championships in Tehran, Iran. When Henson won, it made World news, as it was only the second time a U.S. sports team had been in Iran in 20 years. Henson and Abdullaev have developed a strong rivalry at the highest levels. |
