Notice from Bacone College wrestling office, Muskogee, Okla. I am excited to announce the addition of a new women's program at Bacone College. The program will be funded and offer partial scholarships. Head men's coach Kenard Booker will be the wrestling coordinator in support to the head women's coach. Our goal is to recruit 20 to 25 women, which will compete starting in 2004-2005. Biography on Coach Kenard Booker Kenard Booker completed his 2nd season as the Head Coach for the Bacone Warriors Wrestling Team. He is a graduate of Del City High School and had an outstanding collegiate career, first at Northeastern Oklahoma A&M in Miami and later at the University of Mary in Bismarck, North Dakota. As a collegiate wrestler, Coach Booker boasts a 118-30 record and was a team captain at the collegiate level for three years. He was a four-time National Tournament qualifier and an NAIA All-American, placing third at the 1992 National Tournament. Coach Booker was an assistant at the University of Mary; fielding three top five NAIA National Tournament teams, five individual National Tournament champions, 22 All-Americans and four Academic All-Americans. In 2003, the men's team finished 9th at the national tournament in Great Falls, MT.
