University Women's Freestyle Wrestling Coach    BASIC FUNCTION AND RESPONSIBILITY:  Administer, coordinate and coach the women's university freestyle program at Northern Michigan University in Marquette, Mich., including recruitment of qualified student athletes.     CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  1. Establish year-round training/competition schedule.  2. Conduct training sessions and monitor each athlete's progress.  3. Counsel and teach athletes about developing skills.  4. Act as a recruiter for the program, working with the National Coach  5. Act as a representative of the Olympic Education Center and USA Wrestling in speaking engagements and public appearances.  6. Counsel athletes on dietary and mental aspects of their sport.  7. Determine equipment and facility needs and communicate to appropriate Olympic Education Center staff.  8. Supervise athletes in the living environment of Meyland hall.  9. Schedule practices with athletes.  10. Responsible for observing safety, health and sanitation codes, regulations or practices required by University or Governmental authority.  11. Perform related duties as assigned.    SUPERVISION RECEIVED:  Supervision is received from the Assistant Director - Olympic Education Center.    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  1. High School diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred  2. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written  3. Must have extensive background in sport with experience on the national or international level or have been a national team member.
