Laramie, Wyo. - Seven more U.S. Greco-Roman wrestlers have qualified for the 2004 U.S. Olympic Team Trials-Wrestling following the Central Regional Olympic Team Trials Qualifier on Friday. The U.S. Olympic Team Trials-Wrestling will be held in Indianapolis, Ind., May 21-23. Qualifying for the Trials event were NCAA All-American Sam Hazewinkel (Gator WC) at 55 kg/121 lbs., Jason Tolbert (U.S. Army) at 60 kg/132 lbs., Brandon McNab (New York AC) at 66 kg/145.5 lbs., Rodney Bolden (Unattached) at 74 kg/163 lbs., 2003 U.S. World Team Trials runner-up Jake Clark (U.S. Marine Corps) at 84 kg/185 lbs., 2000 Olympian Quincey Clark (Minnesota Storm) at 96 kg/211.5 lbs. and 2003 U.S. Nationals runner-up Corey Farkas (U.S. Air Force) at 120 kg/264.5 lbs. Hazewinkel entered the tournament just one weekend after the 2004 NCAA Championships in which he placed third. He placed fourth at the U.S. World Team Trials last year. McNab dropped in weight class to win the gold. The U.S. did not qualify the Greco-Roman 74 kg/163 lbs. weight class for the Olympic Games, forcing those Greco-Roman competitors to either move up or down in weight. The freestyle portion of the Central Regional Olympic Team Trials Qualifier will take place on Saturday.
