ST. LOUIS, Mo. - Wrestling legend Dan Gable, who captured two NCAA National Championships and an Olympic Gold Medal as a wrestler and later coached the University of Iowa to an astonishing 15 NCAA National Championships, will be joined by actor and former collegiate wrestler Billy Baldwin in headlining the National Wrestling Coaches Association's (NWCA) 75th Anniversary Celebration and Awards Ceremony Wednesday, March 17, (8 p.m.) at the Hard Rock Café in St. Louis' Union Square sponsored by Simmons Law firm. As part of its gala, the NWCA will present a special screening of CSTV: College Sports Television's Dan Gable: Legend of the Fall, which celebrates the lifelong bonds that exist between the greatest wrestling coach ever and his prized pupils. Baldwin, who wrestled at Binghamton University, will provide special commentary on the program. A meet-and-greet and autograph session with Gable will follow the screening. The 75th Anniversary Gala will also include the NWCA's annual awards presentations, honoring the best in collegiate and high school wrestling, and a performance by nationally known comedian and former NCAA All-America wrestler Greg Warren.
