125 - #2 Tom Clum (Wisconsin) dec. #1 Luke Eustice (Iowa), 5-3 First Period: Clum scores first with a duckunder for a 2-0 lead. After a Eustice escape, Clum scored another takedown on a single-leg. Second Period: Eustice chose bottom and scored an escape to cut the lead to 4-3. Eustice got deep on a single-leg near the end of the period, but time ran out as he began to switch it to a double-leg. Third Period: Clum chose bottom and earned an escape to extend his lead to 5-3. Eustice again got deep on a single-leg, but Clum sprawled out of it. 133 - #3 Mark Jayne (Illinois) dec. #1 Foley Dowd (Michigan), 5-4 First Period: Jayne appeared to finish a single-leg on the edge of the mat, but the official ruled the two out of bounds. Dowd took a 2-0 lead with 21 seconds left in the period after a takedown. Second Period: Jayne chose bottom and earned an escape to cut the lead to 2-1. With 41 seconds left in the period, Jayne scored on a single-leg to take a 3-1 lead. Third Period: Dowd chose bottom and earned an escape to tie the match at 3-3. Withstandley earned an escape to cut the lead to 5-1. Third Period: Withstandley chose bottom, but Moore rode him for most of the period. Withstandley earned an escape late in the match, but Moore had over two minutes of riding time. 149 - #1 Ryan Churella (Michigan) dec. #3 Matt Storniolo (Penn St.), 5-0 First Period: Churella reached down for a single-leg with one minute left in the period, but Storniolo was able to use a whizzer to work out of it. Storniolo then shot a single-leg, but Churella sprawled to a stalemate. Second Period: Churella chose bottom and scored a reversal 30 seconds into the period for a 2-0 lead. Clark then reversed Volkmann after rolling through the second turn, but Volkmann took an 8-2 lead with a reversal of his own. Late in the match, Volkmann nearly went to his back after trying to arch into an escape. 174 - #2 Ryan Lange (Purdue) dec. #1 Tyler Nixt (Iowa), 5-2 First Period: No scoring. Second Period: Lange chose bottom and quickly earned an escape for a 1-0 lead. Third Period: Nixt chose bottom and earned an escape to tie the score at 1-1. Overtime: No scoring. Lange got deep on a single-leg, but was unable to finish around Nixt's knee. Tiebreakers: Lange chose bottom and earned an escape in the first half of the tiebreaker. Nixt then chose bottom and earned an escape to tie the match at 2-2. Second Overtime: No scoring. Second Tiebreakers: Nixt chose bottom and Lange rode him out. In the second half, Lange chose bottom and Nixt let him up.
