Colorado Springs, Colo. - The U.S. Army wrestling team will host a dual meet against stars from the United States in both Greco-Roman and men's freestyle on Wednesday, Feb. 25 at 6:30 p.m. in the Special Events Center on Fort Carson in Colorado Springs, Colo. All seven weight classes will be competed in Greco-Roman, while four weight classes will be wrestled in men's freestyle. In Greco-Roman, 2002 World Champion Dremiel Byers (Colorado Springs, Colo./U.S. Army) will battle against Matt Lamb (Colorado Springs, Colo./New York AC) at 120 kg/264.5 lbs. 2001 U.S. World Team members Keith Sieracki (Colorado Springs, Colo./U.S. Army) and Jason Loukides (Colorado Springs, Colo./U.S. Army) will also compete. Sieracki will meet up with Brandon McNab (Colorado Springs, Colo./New York AC) at 74 kg/163 lbs. and Loukides will wrestle Brandon Ruiz (Colorado Springs, Colo./Elite WC) at 96 kg/211.5 lbs. Two-time U.S. Nationals champion Glenn Nieradka (Colorado Springs, Colo./U.S. Army) will wrestle Jason Chao (Colorado Springs, Colo./Unattached) at 60 kg/132 lbs. Other Greco-Roman matchups will be:
Anthony Gibbons (Colorado Springs, Colo./U.S. Army) vs. Lindsey Durlacher (Colorado Springs, Colo./New York AC) at 55 kg/121 lbs. Oscar Wood (Colorado Springs, Colo./U.S. Army) vs. Mark Rial (Colorado Springs, Colo./Gator WC) at 66 kg/145.5 lbs. Kenny Owens (Colorado Springs, Colo./U.S. Army) vs. Ethan Bosch (Colorado Springs, Colo./New York AC) at 84 kg/185 lbs. In men's freestyle, 2001 U.S. World Team member Dominic Black (Colorado Springs, Colo./U.S. Army) will square off with Mo Lawal (Stillwater, Okla./Gator WC) at 96 kg/211.5 lbs. Lawal competes at 84 kg/185 lbs. but has moved up in weight for this competition. Yero Washington (Colorado Springs, Colo./Sunkist Kids) will represent the U.S. Army at 60 kg/132 lbs. as he will face Dane Valdez (Colorado Springs, Colo./Sunkist Kids.
