American College Connection announces Tim Neumann as Director of Wrestling

Lincoln, Nebraska - February 5th, 2004 - Tim Neumann joins coaching peers and American College Connection (ACC) founders Cal Bentz and Rick Paine as Director of Wrestling. Neumann will help build ACC's wrestling recruiting program that promotes high school wrestlers to college coaches around the country.  His job is to provide assessments on these wrestlers for the ACC team and will provide recommendations on those same student-athletes to college programs from all levels.     Prior to joining American College Connection, Neumann was involved with wrestling for over 30 years, both as a competitor and as a coach.  As head Wrestling Coach at the University of Nebraska, Neumann recruited and trained six NCAA Champions, 46 All-Americans, 28 Conference Champions and 21 Academic All-Americans.  He was a three time "Conference Coach of the Year" and was voted "NCAA Coach of the Year" in 1990.      In addition, Gold Medalist Rulon Gardner and Silver Medalist Matt Lindland were coached by Neumann while at Nebraska.      Neumann will also continue to be the Director of the "Competitive Edge Wrestling Academy" in Lincoln.    American College Connection President Cal Bentz is excited about the addition of Neumann.
