USA Wrestling's Ultimate Challenge Series for 2003-04 begins in the great wrestling state of Illinois, November 28-30, 2003, with the Winter Nationals. Hundreds of talented and motivated young wrestlers will converge on the David Palmer Arena in Danville, Ill. as the quest for the prestigious Dominator Awards begins. The Winter Nationals is in its second year and from all indications the number and quality of wrestlers looks to be outstanding. The Illinois Kids Wrestling Federation (IKWF), an affiliate of USA Wrestling, will be hosting this first Ultimate Challenge Series event. The event returns to the David Palmer Arena in Danville, Ill., which is an outstanding venue to begin the Ultimate Challenge Series. Athletes from around the country are expected to attend and some of the best youth folkstyle wrestlers from around the country will be participating. Athletes will begin to score points in the Series, which culminates with the USA Wrestling National Kids/Cadet Folkstyle Championships in Cedar Falls, Iowa, April 2-4, 2004. USA Wrestling will be keeping up-to-date point totals for all the athletes that participate in the Series. These results can be found at www.TheMat.com. The Ultimate Challenge Series will continue in December with the Brock Lesnar Gopher Kids Classic, in Rochester, Minn., December 21, and the Cotton Bowl Classic, December 27-28 in Dallas, Texas. The Series will then move in to 2004 with the U.S. Junior Open in Oklahoma City, Okla. on Jan. 9-10; the Liberty Nationals in Kansas City, Mo. on Feb. 14; Wrestle-FEST 2004 in Norfolk, Va., March 12-14 and USA Wrestling National Folkstyle Championships in Cedar Falls, Iowa, April 2-4.
