To all wrestling fans:    I am saddened to inform you that President Lois Defleur has decided to accept the recommendaton of Athletic Director Joel Thirer to terminate the Division I varsity wrestling program at Binghamton University.     We have not given up the fight. We will re-group tomorrow and strategize on how to move forward. We are considering legal action. This is not a good decision for wrestling or for the university.      We presented compelling evidence as to why the program should be saved and innovative solutions to address the budgetary problems within the athletic department. It apparently fell on deaf ears. I feel that the athletic director was never "a fan" and rumor has it that he always "had it out" for the wrestling program.     Please write with any suggestions and don't be afraid to let them know how you feel.
