Donny Pritzlaff hired as Hofstra assistant coach

HEMPSTEAD, New York - Hofstra University Head Wrestling Coach Tom Ryan announced the appointment of Donald Pritzlaff as the program's new assistant coach. Pritzlaff replaces Timothy Hill who resigned on August 1, 2003. Pritzlaff, was a two-time NCAA Champion in 2000 and 2001 and a three-time Big Ten Champion during his four-year career at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Named All-American four years in a row, Pritzlaff moves to the sidelines to assist Ryan in all aspects of the Wrestling program. " Donny brings great wrestling experience and class to the program. Being from the New Jersey area, he should give us credibility for recruiting in the northeast and we feel the northeast is the premiere wrestling in the country. We couldn't be more happy to have Donny on our staff" - Tom Ryan In 1998, Pritzlaff was a junior world champion after he started his collegiate career and in 2002-2003, Pritzlaff made the United States National Team. After graduating in May 2002, Pritzlaff remained a year at Wisconsin-Madison and volunteered as an assistant wrestling coach. Pritzlaff, a resident of Oyster Bay, New York, is a 2002 graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a degree in Sociology.
