CRETEIL, FRANCE EBrad Vering advanced to the quarterfinal round after a 3-0 overtime decision against Tuomo Mantyla of Finland in this mornings preliminary qualification match. Vering will face Fritz Aanes of Norway this evening in the quarters.  Rulon Gardner was defeated 3-0 by Khassan Baroev of Russia in his preliminary qualification match.     Pool matches for the second group of weights also began in the morning session. Justin Ruiz came from behind with a 3-point lift and throw in the final minute to secure a 4-2 win over Huacheng Jiang of China. His next pool match will be wrestled this after against Marek Sitnik of Poland.    At 74 Kg, TC Dantzler fell 4-1 to Konstantin Schneider of Germany in his first pool match. He will have a bye next round and faces Mark Madsen of Denmark in his second pool match tonight.    Jim Gruenwald sat this mornings session with a bye. He will wrestle both his pool matches, against Karen Mnatjakanyan or Armenia and Laszio Bona of Hungary this evening.
