Valley High School, Albuquerque, NM    Friday, October 3-Sunday, October 5, 2003    USA Wrestling provides a Fall Coaching Series of Wrestling Clinics in various locations around the US.  The clinics are aimed at helping scholastic style wrestlers kick off their winter season, highly motivated.    All but one of these clinics is hosted by a Division I Wrestling University Program.  The one exception is New Mexico Wrestling - USA.  New Mexico has earned the privilege through past participation in USAW's Coach Education Program and the state's willingness to support the National Program.    Three clinicians will visit New Mexico for the 2003 clinic.  Sergei Beloglazov, two-time Olympic Champion, six-time World Champion, and USA Wrestling new Developmental Coach leads the list.  Prior to taking the American position, Sergei has served as Head Coach for both Russia and Japan.  Watching his video is like a night with a magician!    Dean Morrison and Tela O'Donnel will also serve as clinicians.  Both are currently ranked second in the Nation,  O'Donnel at 55kg (121lbs) and Morrison at 96kg (211lbs).  Both athletes served as alternates on the USA World Freestyle Teams that recently competed at New York's Madison Square Garden.  O'Donnel is a 2003 National Champion. Morrison is a 2003 Runner Up.  Both athletes are invited to New Mexico because they are genuine people and "Class Acts"!    The full clinic is provided for modest participation fees.  Coaches who are 2003-2004 USAW members get three days for $10.  Those who seek Copper Coach Certification (needed for the Albuquerque PAL Winter Program) get it Free! (Normal Cost = $35).  Non-member coaches are welcome to participate.  their cost is $50 for the weekend.      This clinic also serves as New Mexico High School Coaches Associations annual fall clinic.  All NMHSCA 2003-2004 members get the clinic for $10.  Non-members = $50.    Athletes of all ages, both genders are encouraged to take part Saturday and Sunday.  USAW 2003-2004 member athletes attend the clinic ABSOLUTELY FREE!  Non-members get two days for $40.    Both athletes and coaches who desire membership (mandatory for PAL Certification renewal) may get those cards at the opening session of the clinic. (This will save you money!)
