The National Wrestling Coaches Association is proud to announce that Lieutenant General Martin Steele, USMC (Ret.) will be the keynote speaker at the 2003 NWCA Convention sponsored by ASICS, Cliff Keen and Resilite. This year's convention, which is preceding the 2003 World Championships, is being held at the New York Athletic Club in New York City on September 11. A limited number of spots are still available for the convention. Lieutenant General Steele is revered around the world for his motivational and inspirational speeches. He speaks on the storied history of the USS Intrepid Sea-Air-Space Museum and the lessons that we can learn from her adventures. He speaks about the strengths of wrestling and the life lessons that are learned from the sport. Lieutenant General Steele recently retired as President & CEO of the Intrepid Sea-Air-Space Museum, in New York City. He assumed this position after retiring from active duty in the Marine Corps on 1 August 1999 from the position of Deputy Chief of Staff for Plans, Policies and Operations, Headquarters, U.S. Marine Corps. During his distinguished military career, Lieutenant General Steele received the following decorations: The Defense Distinguished Service Medal; The Distinguished Service Medal; The Defense Superior Service Medal; Legion of Merit; Meritorious Service Medal; Navy Commendation Medal with gold star; and The Combat Action Ribbon.
