DAVIDSON, N.C. - Davidson head wrestling coach T.J. Jaworsky announced the addition of assistant coach Robert Patnesky to his staff for the 2003-04 school year. Patnesky comes to Davidson after serving as an assistant coach at Ohio University for three years while earning his master's degree in Recreation and Sport Sciences.    "We are very fortunate to have gained an individual with the vast wrestling experience that Robert possesses," said Jaworsky. "His expertise and ability to recruit successful wrestlers will be important assets to our program. He has been a part of wrestling programs at several very successful schools and I believe our wrestlers will excel under his tutelage."    Patnesky, a 2001 graduate of West Virginia University, was a three-year starter for the Mountaineers and served as team captain during his final season. The three-time NCAA qualifier is the all-time winningest wrestler in his weight class at WVU. Patnesky was the 2000 Eastern Wrestling League champion and his team won the EWL crown, finishing sixth in the country. A five-time freestyle   wrestling All-American, Patnesky was individually ranked among the top 12 wrestlers in the country for three years. During college, he also competed for the U.S. on a tour to France and Poland in 1999. He completed his collegiate wrestling career with over 100 victories.    Patnesky served as a volunteer assistant coach at West Virginia for a year before taking the assistant position at Ohio. He has also been a wrestling camp instructor since 1996, teaching technique as well as offering motivational speeches to children. At Ohio, Patnesky's duties included recruiting, coaching, scheduling and scouting.
