Because of the Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) epidemic in China, World Sports Alliance has moved its wrestling tour scheduled for August 1-10 from its original destination in China to Italy and Switzerland. "We're hoping we can go back to China next year as it is one of our most popular tours," said Wade Genova, President of World Sports Alliance. "We are real thankful to Brandon Slay for agreeing to take our team to Italy and Switzerland instead. Not one of our athletes cancelled on us. They're all going with us to Europe." The tour begins in Milan, Italy where the team will see one of the most spectacular cathedrals in the world, the famous Vitorio Emanuel Galleria and the Sfroza Castle. They will also see perhaps the most famous painting in the world, "The Last Supper" by Leonardo DaVinci. In the Sforza Castle, they will also see a statue created by master sculptor, MichaelAngelo. From Milan, the team will travel north into the beautiful Swiss Alps. They will travel to Geneva and Martigny for wrestling competitions. On the way, the team will be passing through the Swiss town of St. Bernard, made famous by the dog breed it originated. The team will have team competitions and joint training sessions with both Italian and Swiss teams. The athletes will also benefit from having access to Brandon Slay for 10 days. "Imagine having an Olympic Champion as your own personal coach and mentor for 10 days. That's what these athletes will get," said Genova. This tour is open to athletes 15-20 years of age and a limited amount of spots are still available.
