83.5 -The only returning All-American is Mat Gardner of Oregon opened with a 15-6 win and a technical fall. Another with two early victories is Northern Plains double champion Tyler Safratowich of Minnesota.    88 -There are no returning All-Americans here. Paul Donahoe of Michigan, the Central Freestyle champion who placed third at the FILA Cadet Nationals, opened with two technical falls. Gabriel Mooney of Minnesota, the Northern Plains double champion, scored a pin and a 6-0 victory. Ricky Wyman of Arizona, the Western double champion, posted a technical fall and a pin.    94.5 -Alex Usztics of Pennsylvania, the 1999 Cadet Greco-Roman champion at 83.5 pounds, opened with a fall and a 12-9 victory. Kevin Hunter of Utah, the Western double champion, scored a technical fall and a pin. Eric Nartker of Michigan, the Central Greco-Roman champion, had a technical fall win and an 8-1 victory. Christian Smith of Virginia, who was third at 83.5 pounds in Greco-Roman and second in freestyle last season, has one win and one loss.     103.5 - This weight has the most returning All-Americans and will be very competitive. 1999 Cadet National Greco-Roman champion Greg Brendemuel of Minnesota, opened with two technical falls and a pin. 1999 Cadet National freestyle champion Tim Kephart of Missouri had two pins and a technical fall. Cadet National runners-up Derek Moore of California and Brandon Tucker of Oklahoma opened with three victories, as well.  All-Americans Ryan Riggs of Ohio and  Brandon Kinney of Michigan have 3-0 records, but All-American Keaton Fisher of New York was pinned in the first round, but rebounded with two wins. FILA Cadet National placewinner Chase Walker of Utah is 2-0, with a bye.    112 -  The only returning freestyle All-American, Joe Makara of Pennsylvania, won his first three matches by decision. Alex Tsirtsis of Indiana, a Cadet FILA freestyle champion and Greco-Roman bronze medallist, opened with two technical falls and a pin. FILA Cadet National Angel Cejudo of Arizona and Dustin Coffin of Minnesota also have three easy victories.     121 - 1999 Cadet Greco-Roman All-Americans Donny DePatto of Minnesota  and Gabe Rostermund of Iowa, opened with three straight wins. Top rival Burke Barnes of Washington, a Cadet National freestyle runner-up last year, also had three victories, one of each kind (decision, tech. Fall and pin). Regional Greco-Roman champions Eric Tannenbaum of Illinois (Northern Plains), Mark Hastings of Colorado (Southern Plains) and Josh Meadows of Utah (Western) are also undefeated.    132 -1999 Cadet National Greco-Roman champion champion Zack Lamano of Utah and runner-up C.P. Schlatter of Ohio are both 3-0 after the first day. Lamano has two pins and a technical fall. Schlatter has three technical falls. Both are in the same pool, so they will probably meet prior to the finals. All-American   Chase Metcalfe of Michigan has a 3-0 record, including an 8-2 win over Northern Plains double champion James Mead of Minnesota. Regional champions Scott Loescher of  Oregon and Thomas Rhodes of Kansas are also 3-0 in the tournament.    143 - The largest weight class in the tournament is led by returning freestyle All-American Nate Galloway of Pennsylvania, who opened with an amazing four technical fall victories. Brandon Guenot of Pennyslvania, the Northeast freestyle champion, had two pins and two technical falls. Western Regional double champion Patrick Pitsch of Washington and Northern Plains Greco-Roman champion Ben Askren of Wisconsin, are also 4-0.    154 -  Returning Cadet freestyle All-American Casey Streeter of Michigan opened with power, scoring three straight pins. Dan Bedoy of Indiana was a placewinner at the FILA Cadet Nationals in Greco-Roman, also won his first three matches. Southern Plains Greco-Roman champion Chris Page of Missouri has two pins and a technical fall.     167 - Roger Kish of Michigan, who placed second in Greco-Roman and third in freestyle last year at 167 pounds, is the only returning All-American. Kish had two pins and a decision. Also with 3-0 records are Josiah Jenson of Nevada, the Western double champion and regional freestyle champions Jeff Mixon of South Carolina (Southeast) and Mike Maresh of Minnesota (Northern Plains).    182.5 -B.J. Frasier of Michigan, the lone returning Greco-Roman All-American, was pinned in the first match by Western Regional double champion Gerard Habibian of Utah. Habibian won both of his matches by pin, and Frasier rebounded to win his second match. Aaron Keough of Ohio, a freestyle All-American last year, was 2-0 for the day, as was  Jared Massey of Minnesota, the Northern Plains Greco-Roman champion.    209 - All-Americans Joshua Sears of Ohio and Grant Miller of Illinois won their first two matches. Sears won 6-1 and by pin, and Miller had a 7-6 victory and a technical fall. Returning All-American Elliot Piper of North Dakota was defeated in the first match by Western Regional double champion Chad Espinoza of Nevada, 9-3. Piper won his second match 9-3, and Espinoza pinned his second opponent.  Regional double champions Jonathan May of Minnesota (Northern Plains) and Brandon Schweitzer of North Carolina (Southern Plains) are also 2-0.    242 -The only returning freestyle All-American, Chris Finn of Oklahoma, pinned his first two opponents.   Northern Plains double champion Derek Liggett of Wisconsin also pinned his first two rivals.
