The IMPA honors Iowa's film and video production community, celebrating the moving image as a means of communication, education, and entertainment. Summary of CAEL SANDERSON: Portrait of a Champion (from IPTV web page) This in-depth, one-hour, documentary produced over a ten-month time period, takes a remarkable look at life on and off the mat of the man who is being called the greatest wrestler of all time, Cael Sanderson. With an unprecedented collegiate record of 159 - 0 and four NCAA championships, the documentary introduces viewers to the talented athlete and artist. The third of four brothers - all wrestlers - from a Mormon family in Utah, Sanderson is a humble, yet intensely driven individual. But he has worked to carve out a life outside of wrestling, as well, with keen interests in graphic design, fly fishing, and animals. This look at the private Sanderson gives viewers a glimpse of what drives this champion. This documentary is the culmination of months of research and coverage, and includes in-depth interviews with Sanderson and numerous wrestling greats, plus past and present wrestling footage and information not available in less comprehensive profiles of Sanderson. Sales of the tapes, as well as numerous other IPTV tapes, help IPTV produce its wrestling programming and sustain its Web site.
