Cleveland State looking for full-time assistant coach

Cleveland State University is accepting applications for the 12 month full-time position of assistant wrestling coach. Successful applicant will be responsible for assisting the head coach in all facets of the wrestling program to insure a quality program and successful team. The assistant coach will participates in athlete recruitment, training, and retention as well as monitoring and supporting the academic success of student-athletes. The assistant coach will assist with day-to-day operations of the program and participate in promotional and fund raising activities. The assistant coach will interact professionally with all internal and external customers using strong interpersonal skills. Responsibilities must be carried out within the mission of the University to help create an effective learning environment for students, to treat all persons with dignity and respect and to actively demonstrate an attitude of willing service and teamwork. Qualifications include: bachelor's degree, experience coaching at the collegiate or equivalent level, knowledge of and commitment to NCAA rules. Preferred qualifications include experience as a recruiter and experience coordinating wrestling camps. Applications will begin to be reviewed on April 12. Starting date is July 1, 2003. Salary commensurate with experience.
