Sims, Mullins, Brawner win USA Wrestling Ultimate Challenge Series for 9-10 year olds

USA Wrestling's Ultimate Challenge Series awards three "Dominator" belts in each of three age divisions. Based upon a point scoring system during a series of major national-level events, the best folkstyle wrestlers in the United States are honored with this exciting new program. The 9-10-year-old division awards were presented at the conclusion of the final event for this age level, the USA Wrestling Kids National Championships in Topeka, Kansas, April 5-6 This year's winners, as the top three points scorers, are "The Dominators" of the Kids Folkstyle 9-10-year-old division. They are: John Sims, 80 lbs, Indiana, 7800 points Connor Mullins, 55 lbs, Indiana, 7600 points Jacob Brawner, 120 lbs, Missouri, 6300 points. Sims and Brawner won a gold medals at the Kids Folkstyle Nationals at their weight division, and Mullins claimed a silver medal at the Folkstyle Nationals. All three were also successful at the other events included in this year's Ultimate Challenge Series. The 3rd Annual Virginia Challenge Middle School National Open Wrestling Championships will see participants in two divisions, 5-6th Grade & 7-8th Grade This final leg of the Series will have USA Wrestling crowning six exceptional individuals who earned the title of Dominator Award Winners. These six individuals will be awarded specially made belts that will recognize them as the best folkstyle wrestlers in the United States. The Middle School Nationals will be held April 11-13th, with weigh-ins being conducted April 11th and competition April 12-13. Awards will also be given for Outstanding Wrestler, Fastest Pin, Most Falls, and National Team Awards. Participants from over 20 states have already registered and the number of competitors grows daily as individuals from around the country want to take part in this prestigious event.
