The U.S. men's freestyle and Greco-Roman teams have each added one event to their series of 2003 Winter Tours. A men's freestyle team that includes six of the seven top wrestlers in the U.S. will compete at the Uzbekistan International Tournament in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, March 2-4. Competing in the Uzbekistan International will be two-time U.S. World Team member Stephen Abas (Fresno, Calif./Sunkist Kids) at 55 kg/121 lbs., three-time U.S. World Team member Eric Guerrero (Stillwater, Okla./Gator WC) at 60 kg/132 lbs., two-time U.S. World Team member Chris Bono (Gilbert, Iowa/Sunkist Kids) at 66 kg/145.5 lbs., 2001 World bronze medalist Joe Williams (Iowa City, Iowa/Sunkist Kids) at 74 kg/163 lbs., 2002 U.S. World Team member Tim Hartung (Minneapolis, Minn./Minnesota Storm) at 96 kg/211.5 lbs. and World and Olympic placewinner Kerry McCoy (Bethlehem, Pa./New York AC) at 120 kg/264.5 lbs. This team will be coached by Kevin Jackson of Colorado Springs, Colo. and Lou Rosselli of Edinboro, Pa. The Greco-Roman team will compete in the Acropolis Tournament in Athens, Greece, March 29-30. This event will replace the Vehbi Emre Tournament in Istanbul, Turkey. The U.S. will send 12 competitors to the Acropolis Tournament, led by 2002 U.S. World Team members Kevin Bracken (Colorado Springs, Colo./New York AC) at 66 kg/145.5 lbs. and T.C. Dantzler (Colorado Springs, Colo./New York AC) at 74 kg/163 lbs. At last year's Acropolis Tournament, James Gruenwald (Colorado Springs, Colo./Sunkist Kids) and Ethan Bosch (Colorado Springs, Colo./New York AC) each captured bronze medals. Joe Warren (Colorado Springs, Colo./New York AC) and Bracken each placed fourth and Quincey Clark (Davis, Calif./Minnesota Storm) place fifth. Bosch and Warren will also compete this year.
