Dear USA Wrestling Coaches,    USA Wrestling through the United States Olympic Committee is committed to offering the 2003 Spring Coaches' Seminar.  All states were invited to send at least one participant to attend the weekend's activities.    Not all states were able to have a coach attend the seminar; therefore, USA Wrestling's National Teams staff has opened the remaining slots to coach members.  If you feel that you can attend the Seminar and arrange your own transportation, USA Wrestling would like you to be invovled.    Coaches will be housed at the Olympic Training Center and receive meals at the Athlete Center.  Participants will benefit from the excellent sessions ranging from technique to mental skills. In Wrestling,  Ted Witulski  NCEP Manager    USAW Invites coaches to the 2003 Spring Coaches' Seminar:    To increase the knowledge base of USA Wrestling's coaches, USA Wrestling will conduct a 2003 Spring Coaches' Seminar that will be held at the United States Olympic Training Center (USOTC) in Colorado Springs, Colo., March 13-16, 2003.      The purpose of this program is to expose state coaches directors to the widest range of information available in the sport of wrestling. Seminars will focus on freestyle and Greco-Roman, with an emphasis on strategies, mental skills, weight training and technique.     The sessions will be coordinated by the USA Wrestling national coaching staff and other key individuals with expertise in the sport.  In addition, coaches will participate in a session dedicated to video review and will attend USOTC resident program practice sessions.    Attendees of the 2003 Spring Coaches Seminar will be provided complimentary room and board at the Olympic Training Center from March 13-16, 2003.  Attendees must simply provide their own transportation to and from Colorado Springs.     Each coach will also receive a polo shirt as a souvenir from the seminar. The seminar is only open to 50 participants, with one coach from each USA Wrestling state association having first priority.  It is USA Wrestling's goal to have one coach from each state association attend the Seminar. Unfilled slots by state associations will be filled by the USA Wrestling developmental coaching staff.
