February 15th is the deadline for coaches to register for the Silver Coaches College in Kansas City.  In order for USA Wrestling to host this event twenty coaches must be pre-registered by the 15th.      The Silver College will be a valuable experience for coaches to advance their understanding of the sport, as elite coaches and athletes come to Kansas City to share their technique and knowledge of the sport.  Presently, USAW is advancing towards the goal of having twenty coaches pre-registered but more participation is needed to bring this great wrestling event to the area.    ****************************************************************************  USA Wrestling's National Coaches Education Program will host a Silver Level Coaches College in Kansas City, Missouri in March of 2003. The College clinic and class time utilizes a split-schedule over two weekends for the convenience of coaches in the area. Clinic times for the second weekend work around the NCAA Championship schedule and the facility for the Coaches College is only ten minutes away from the NCAA Tournament venue. Coaches will have plenty of time to attend both the Silver College and the National Championships.     Saturday, March 15th: 8:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m.  Sunday, March 16th: 9:00 a.m.-5:30 p.m.  Wednesday, March 19th 5:30 p.m.-9:00 p.m.  Thursday, March 20th 8:30 a.m.-10:30 a.m.  Friday, March 21st 2:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m.  Sunday, March 23rd 9:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.    During the Silver College coaches receive thirty hours of technical and classroom instruction. The College will give coaches a broader base of technical skills as well as offer the latest information on mental skills training, program development, strength training, and nutrition. Clinicians will include elite athletes and coaches from across the nation. (A detailed schedule will be released prior to the College.)     Coaches are encouraged to attend this intensive wrestling experience as a part of the National Coaches Education Program.     In order to offer this Silver College, USA Wrestling must have twenty coaches pre-registered by February 15th. Deposits will be refunded if there is not sufficient interest to hold the college. Coaches that pre-register by February 15th will also receive a USA Wrestling baseball cap.
