125  Luke Eustice (Iowa) dec. Adam Smith (Penn St.), 9-3  Eustice cradled Smith midway through the second period to take a commanding 5-0 lead after a takedown in the first period put him up 2-0.    Kyle Ott (Illinois) dec. Chris Rodrigues (N. Carolina), 5-1  Rodrigues scored an escape in the second period to take the first lead of the match. Ott scored a takedown to take a 2-1 lead into the third. Ott extended his lead to 3-1 with an escape 50 seconds into the final period.    A.J. Grant (Michigan) dec. Nick Simmons (Michigan St.), 4-2  Grant scored on a single-leg in the first period after chasing Simmons around the mat. Simmons rode Grant out in the second period. In the third, Simmons chose bottom and earned a reversal midway through the period to tie the score at 2-2. Simmons rode too high and Grant scored a reversal of his own to retake the lead.    Travis Lee (Cornell) dec. Efren Ceballos (CS Bakersfield), 8-6  Ceballos scored takedowns in the first two periods to take a 5-3 lead into the third. Lee chose bottom in the third and quickly scored an escape to cut the lead to 5-4. Lee scored a takedown, and after a Ceballos escape, Lee scored again on a go-behind for the win.    133  Mike Simpson (Ariz. St.) dec. Mark Jayne (Illinois), 7-4  Simpson scored two takedowns in the first period to take a 4-2 lead. He held off a late attack by Jayne to earn a trip to the semifinals.    Foley Dowd (Michigan) dec. Josh Moore (Penn St.), 2-2 tb  In the second period of a scoreless match, Moore chose bottom and earned an escape to take a 1-0 lead. Dowd scored on a single-leg, but a Moore escape tied the score at 2-2 heading into the final period. After no scoring in the third period and overtime, Moore won the coin toss in the tiebreaker and chose bottom. Dowd was able to ride Moore out for 30 seconds to win the match.    Zach Roberson (Iowa St.) dec. Marat Tomaev (Penn St.), 5-3 ot  Roberson scored an escape in the second period to take a 1-0 lead. Tomaev tied the score at 1-1 with an escape of his own, but a second stall warning against Tomaev gave Roberson a 2-1 lead. Tomaev scored a takedown to grab a 3-2 lead and Roberson tied the score with an escape. In overtime, Roberson was able to score the winning takedown.    Matt Azevedo (Sunkist Kids) dec. Ricky LaForge (W. Virg.), 6-3    141  Derek Phillips (C. Michigan) dec. Josh Wooten (N. Illinois), 7-5    Dana Holland (Ariz. St.) maj. dec. Whitey Chlebov (Sunkist Kids), 17-6  Holland was dominating on his feet, scoring four takedowns in the first two periods to take an 8-4 lead into the third. In the final period, Holland added a takedown and a body lock throw for two back points.    Dylan Long (N. Iowa) dec. Shane Cunanan (W. Virg.), 5-3  Long scored two first period takedowns and a second period escape to take a 5-2 lead into the third period. He gave up a late escape, but Cunanan did not have enough to time gather a strong offense.    Jeff Ratliff (Ohio St.) dec. Juan Venturi (Princeton), 9-3    149  John Fisher (Sunkist Kids) dec. Jeremiah Tobias (Michigan), 4-0  Fisher scored a single-leg early in the match to take a 2-0 lead. Fisher added another takedown in the third period to seal the victory.    Tony Pedrosa (Illinois) dec. Jon Masa (Hofstra), 14-8    Mike Mendoza (Dave Schultz WC) dec. Ty Eustice (Iowa), 3-0  Mendoza took the initial lead with an escape in the second period. He added to his lead with a takedown in the third period.    Dustin Manotti (Cornell) maj. dec. Dwight Hinson (Sunkist Kids), 11-3  Manotti finished a double-leg midway through the first period to take a 2-0 lead. In the second period, Manotti scored an escape, a takedown and three back points to take a dominating 8-2 lead.    157  Gray Maynard (Michigan St.) dec. Mike Patrovich (Hofstra), 5-2  Maynard was able to score on two first-period single-legs to take a 4-1 lead into the second period. The two traded escapes before the end of the match.    Heath Eslinger (Gator WC) dec. Derek Zinck (Lehigh), 3-2  Eslinger scored an escape in the second period to take a 1-0 lead. Eslinger tied the match after Zinck was given his second stall warning. Zinck scored an escape in the third period to take a 2-1 lead, but Eslinger finished a double-leg at the edge of the mat with 3 seconds remaining to win.    Derek Jenkins (Rider) dec. Alex Tirapelle (Illinois), 5-2  Jenkins scored on a double-leg right with one minute remaining for a 2-0 lead.    David Bolyard (C. Michigan) vs. Keaton Anderson (Ohio St.)  After fighting through a strong counter from Bolyard, Anderson was able to finish a double-leg for a 2-0 lead. In the second period, Anderson chose bottom and earned a reversal for a 4-0 advantage. Bolyard scored a takedown in the third period, but it was too little, too late.    165  Joe Heskett (Sunkist Kids) maj. dec. Nick Harrington (Rider), 13-2  Heskett scored two ankle-pick takedowns in the first period for a 4-2 lead. Heskett used a reversal and a tilt in the second period to extend his lead to 9-2    Johnny Clark (Ohio St.) dec. Kevin Carr (C. Michigan), 10-4  In the second period, Carr chose bottom. Clark locked up a cradle and scored three back points. In the second period, Clark took a 5-1 lead after countering a spinning behind a Carr shot.    Troy Letters (Lehigh) maj. dec. Tom McMath (Cornell), 8-0  Letters scored on a double-leg midway through the first period for an early 2-0 lead. Letters used a tilt to extend his lead to 5-0 going into the second period.    Matt Lackey (Illinois) dec. Nick Passolano (Iowa St.), 3-1  A first period takedown by Lackey was enough for the close victory.    174  Joe Williams (Sunkist Kids) dec. Matt Erwin (VMI), 11-4  Williams was dominating, scoring five takedowns in an easy win.    Brian Glynn (Illinois) dec. John Carr (E. Stroudsburg), 6-2  Glynn finished an ankle-pick at the edge of the mat with 8 seconds left in the first period for a 2-0 lead. In the second period, Carr tied the match with a reversal, but Glynn scored an escape to take a 3-2 lead late. Glynn padded his lead late in the second with a takedown at the edge of the mat.    Nathan Coy (Orange Crush) dec. Eric Hauan (N. Iowa), 4-3  Hauan scored a first-period takedown, but two escapes by Coy, one in each period, kept the match tied at 2-2. In the third period, Hauan took the lead back with an escape, but Coy got deep on a low single-leg, finishing with one minute remaining in the match to take his first lead of the night, 4-3.    Tyler Nixt (Iowa) dec. Brad Dillon (Lehigh), 6-2  Nixt finished a single-leg takedown with 6 seconds remaining in the first period for a 2-0 lead.    184  Jessman Smith (Iowa) vs. Jeff Rusak (Unatt.), 5:10  Leading 9-5 midway through the third, Smith put the legs in deep and rocked Rusak to his back to earn the pin.    Mark Becks (Penn St.) dec. Austen Palmer (Iowa St.), 3-2    Clint Wattenberg (Cornell) dec. Aaron Simpson (Sunkist Kids), 3-2  Tied at 2-2, Wattenberg scored an escape with 30 seconds remaining to take a 3-2 lead.    Gerald Harris (Cleveland St.) dec. Greg Parker (Princeton), 4-2  Harris was deep on a double-leg late in the first period, but the clock ran out before he could swing around and finish. In the second, Parker chose bottom and quickly earned an escape for a 1-0 lead. Harris later finished a shot in the second period for a 2-1 lead heading into the third. In the final period, Harris was able to score a takedown for a 4-1 lead.    197  Lee Fullhart (Gator WC) dec. Sean Stender (N. Iowa), 9-5  Stender finished a single-leg with one minute remaining in the first period for a 2-0 lead. Escapes in the first and second periods for Fullhart tied the match at 2-2.
