Penn State vs. Lehigh showdown to be televised live on FOX Sports/Pittsburgh

State College, Pa., Dec. 20, 2002 - The Penn State wrestling team's showdown with intrastate rival Lehigh, Sun., Jan. 5 in Rec Hall, will  be televised live on FOX Sports/Pittsburgh. The match between the  Nittany Lions, currently ranked No. 22, and Mountain Hawks, ranked No. 8, will start at 1:00 p.m.    Lehigh has won the last two meetings in the series, but Penn  State holds a large 55-29-3 advantage in the series that dates to 1911. Penn State's 87 meetings with Lehigh on the mat are the Lions' most against any opponent in 94 years of wrestling.    Penn State returns seven NCAA qualifiers and All-American Doc Vecchio to this year's team and currently has three wrestlers ranked in the Top 10 in the nation. Lehigh returns five starters from a team that placed seventh at last year's NCAA Tournament and is led by returning All-Americans Mario Stuart and Jon Trenge.
