TheMat.com Projected Big XII Finish: 1. Oklahoma 2. Oklahoma State 3. Missouri 4. Iowa State 5. Nebraska Team-for-team, the best conference in the nation may be the Big XII. Not only are Oklahoma and Oklahoma State two solid teams this year, they may also be the top two teams in the nation at year's end. Add to that mix a highly talented Missouri team, a young Iowa State team and a Nebraska squad that is more stable, and it is going to be hard this year to pick wildcards at the conference tournament. Oklahoma and Oklahoma State should battle for the conference title at the very least this year. The Sooners bring back three All-Americans from last year including NCAA finalist Josh Lambrecht (184). This squad top-to-bottom is the most experienced and complete in the Big XII. Oklahoma State on the other hand, is looking for big performances from upper weights Chris Pendleton (174), Jake Rosholt (184) and Muhammed Lawal (197). With NCAA Champion Johnny Thompson (133) and three other potential NCAA champions, this squad is stacked, but young at the same time. Missouri and Iowa State should battle for the third spot in this conference. Missouri has a lot of talent in its lineup, including All-American Scott Barker (197). With Justin Spates (133) joining eight returning starters in the lineup this year, this team is dangerously good, yet they will surprise some people at the same time. Iowa State returns NCAA Champion Aaron Holker (141) along with All-American Zach Roberson (133), but beyond that, there are a lot of question marks with this squad. They are weakest in the upper weights (184-285) which may hurt them all season long. Nebraska brings back two All-Americans, Jason Powell (125) and Justin Ruiz (197), but there are a lot of question marks in their lineup as well. Overall, their lineup is more experienced and better than last year, but the amount of postseason power remains to be seen. TEAM PREVIEWS: Iowa State Missouri Nebraska Oklahoma Oklahoma State
