USA Wrestling and the Iowa Wrestling Federation is proud to offer its members a series of youth clinics throughout the state of Iowa.  Members of USA Wrestling can attend these clinics free of charge and get a jump-start on the competition this fall.  The clinics are open to all ages from youth to high school competition.  Individuals that do not have a 2002-2003 membership card can purchase one at the door.      These clinics feature world class technicians from top collegiate programs, such as the University of Iowa, Nebraska, and the University of Northern Iowa.  Mark Reiland, in his initial year as state chairperson in Iowa, is excited about these clinics.  "We feel these clinics will provide coaches and kids with another valuable reason to become members of USA Wrestling."    The Waterloo East clinic features two NCAA Champion Jodie Strittmatter.  Strittmatter is currently ranked third on the National Team ladder at 55 kgs.   On November 10th Iowa National Champion Bill Zadick will conduct the second clinic.  Zadick currently holds the second spot on the National Team ladder at 66 kgs.  At Southeast Polk high school All-American Eric Akin will share technique with USA Wrestling members.  Akin was a 1996 and 2000 Olympic Trials runner-up.  Tony Davis, former NCAA Champion and current coach for the University of Nebraska, will conduct a clinic at "The Building" in Underwood Iowa.  The clinic host in Underwood is former Lewis Central coach Keith Massey.      These clinics are free of charge, but each wrestler must carry a current USAWrestling Card.
