TheMat.com's interactive portal, The CyberMat, will provide a free "Internet broadcast" of the freestyle finals of the Sunkist Kids/ASU International Open on Sunday, Nov. 5. The competition is being held at Desert Vista High School in Phoenix, Ariz. Numerous talented U.S. athletes are expected to compete, as well as top athletes from a number of foreign nations. As the first major international event held in the United States after the 2000 Olympic Games, the event is expected to showcase some of the young talent that will challenge for the U.S. World and Olympic teams during the next four years. This broadcast is the first of an impressive list of "live" Internet broadcasts offered through CyberMat's "Premium Service." College events scheduled this season on The CyberMat will include: Iowa vs. Iowa State (Dec. 8th), the National Duals finals (Jan. 21), NWCA All-Star Classic (Jan. 29th), Oklahoma vs. Iowa State (Feb. 2nd), Northwestern vs. Ohio State (Feb. 4th) and the Big 12 Conference Championship finals (March 3). Tentative international events include: the Freestyle World Cup finals, the USA vs. Iran World Dual meet, the U.S. Nationals and the Junior Nationals freestyle and Greco-Roman finals. The CyberMat currently has many hours of material available to enjoy. This includes video and audio presentations of past events, such as the 2000 U.S. Nationals and the 2000 World Cup, as well as Olympic press conferences and audio play-by-play of the action from Sydney. In addition, two previously aired newsmagazines have been archived to enjoy at your leisure. The "Centermat" is a wrestling newsmagazine that will eventually be another part of CyberMat's "Premium Service". On Sunday, November 5th, check in on TheMat.com's interactive portal, The CyberMat, for the link that will take you to the Internet broadcast of the Sunkist Kids/ASU International Freestyle Finals.
