Weigh-ins for the first three weight of the world championships completed VK -- The weigh-in ceremony of the first three weights of the world free style championships was completed today with no problems in the 55, 66, and 85 KG weight classes. In the 55 Kg category, Babak Nourzad had no trouble weighing in as he has 24 wrestlers in his weigh class. He will face wrestlers from Baku and Germany for his first two opponents. Also in the 55 KG category is the olympic gold medalist Abdollah Af and the world champion from Ukrain. Alireza Dabir, the world champion in the 66 Kg weight class is faced with a fairly easy bracket for his two matches as he will face wrestlers from Japan and China. To get the gold medal in this category Dabir will have to surpass the 2001 world champion Batayef of Bulgaria whom he faced in the finals of 2001 world championship with much controversy. In the 85 KG weight class stands Majid Khodaei who will face Loui Jidisi of Greece and Gazayef of Azarbayjan in his first two matches. Also participating in this weigh class is Adam Saitief the world champion from Russia, and Roumro of Kuba, and Asayef of Ukrain who will let their presence felt. The World Freestyle Championships is being held at Tehran from September 5th (tommorrow) till September 7th in the 12000 seating capacity Azadi stadium.
