Brad Gibson Joins Um-Morris Coaching Staff

Morris, Minn. - Former University of Minnesota Gopher wrestling star Brad  Gibson has taken the position of assistant wrestling coach at the University  of Minnesota-Morris.    Gibson earned two Minnesota State High School wrestling titles from nearby  Chokio-Alberta High School, then went on to star at the University of  Minnesota under coach J. Robinson. During his collegiate career Gibson won  an individual Big Ten title in 1994, and took home NCAA I All-American  honors in 1994, placing 3rd at 177 pounds, and 6th in 1993.    From 1997 - 1999, Gibson served as the Wrestling Strength and Condition  Coach for the University of Minnesota. Then in 1999 - 2002, Gibson led the  mat program at Morris Area High School in Morris, MN.    "I am thrilled to get Brad Gibson in our program," said UM-Morris head coach  Doug Reese. "Brad will help raise the level of intensity in the room each  day at practice. His experience at the Division I level as an athlete and as  a coach, and as a high school coach in Minnesota will benefit us greatly on  the mat and in recruiting."
