2002 USA Wrestling State Leader's Summit Set to Begin on August 15

The 2002 USA Wrestling State Leader's Summit will begin Thursday, August 15 as key state leaders from across the U.S. will arrive in Colorado Springs, Colo. for three and one half days of activities.    The state leaders will be involved in training seminars, round table discussion, informational sessions and the important National Council of State Chairpersons Annual Meeting.  In addition, the state leaders will be attending  the August USA Wrestling Board of Directors meeting being held in conjunction with the Summit.    The USA Wrestling Board of Directors meeting will be held on Saturday, August 17.    "The USA Wrestling State Leader's Summit is one of the most important programs USA Wrestling conducts each year. This program allows USA Wrestling to provide key training for the organization' s key leaders within the grass roots area and provides an unique opportunity for state leaders to expand their knowledge in many program areas offered by the organization and to network with their peers in a quality learning setting," stated Mark Scott, USA Wrestling Director of State Services.    "I am tremendously excited about the attendance for this year's Summit which is one of the largest ever held.  The entire USA Wrestling staff is looking forward to a productive weekend with the key volunteers within USA Wrestling."
