A tour team of talented young U.S. wrestlers traveled to Beijing, China for a successful competition and training tour, July 31-Aug. 9.     Included in the group were many of America's top age-group female wrestlers, who qualified to participate through the FILA Cadet and FILA Junior National Championships in Chattanooga, Tenn. in May. In addition, a number of talented boys wrestlers also competed as part of the tour.     The trip was organized by World Sport Alliance, USA Wrestling's official international exchange provider. The team competed in dual matchups on August 4, August 6 and August 7, in addition to joint training with top Chinese age-group athletes. Lee Allen, the head coach of the Menlo College women's wrestling team and a past Olympic Greco-Roman coach, served as a coach for the team during the tour. Coach and official Rusty Davidson was also on the tour.    The girls team featured many of the nation's top high school wrestlers, including three champions from the first ASICS Junior Nationals for girls: Heather Martin of Ohio, Amberle Montgomery of Washington and Brandy Rosenbrock of Michigan.    The U.S. girls that won all of their matches during the tour were Ali Bernard of Minnesota, Caitlyn Chase of Illinois and Sara Fulp Allen of California.    Among the sightseeing tours were a visit to Tian An Men Square, the Forbidden City (with its impressive Imperial Palace), the Temple of Heaven, the Summer Palace. the Ancient Sacred Way, the Ming Tombs the Great Wall of China, Silk Alley and the Beijing Zoo.
