98 Vincent Cina (Maryland) won by tech. fall over Mark Degliobizzi (Delaware), 11-0 in 1:46 First Period: Degliobizzi was warned for passivity. Cina immediately used a trap-arm to take the early lead. Cina then used a lift to throw Degliobizzi out of bounds, taking a 5-0 lead. Cina finished the match with a gut wrench and another lift and throw. 105 Tanner Gardner (Kansas) won by tech. fall over Joe Trieu (Washington), 12-1 in 2:27 First Period: Gardner scored a takedown and took a 3-0 lead on a gut wrench. Trieu came back with a takedown. Gardner extended his lead to 6-1 after locking up a front headlock and taking Trieu to his back. Gardner then scored two more points on a gut wrench. He finished the match with a lift and throw, scoring three exposure points and a point for appreciation. 112 Ben Kjar (Utah) dec. Brandon Tucker (Oklahoma), 8-6 First Period: Kjar used a front headlock and gator-rolled Tucker for a 3-0 lead. Tucker earned a reversal, then scored on two gut wrenches to take a 4-3 lead. Second Period: In the second period, Tucker was whistled for passivity. Kjar locked up a gut wrench and took a 5-4 lead. Kjar scored two more points on a gut wrench, but gave up control and exposed himself for two points. With 17 seconds left, Kjar scored a takedown to seal the win. 119 Sam Hazewinkel (Florida) dec. Luke Smith (Wisconsin), 5-0 First Period: Hazewinkel scored a takedown to take a 1-0 lead. Second Period: Hazewinkel scored another takedown, this time throwing Smith in front of him and scoring from behind. Hazewinkel extended his lead to 4-0 with a quick gut wrench. Hazewinkel scored another takedown with one minute left to take a 5-0 lead. 125 Angel Cejudo (Arizona) won by tech. fall over James Holt (California), 14-0 in 0:49 First Period: Cejudo scored immediately, taking Holt down and scoring on a gut wrench and a gator roll for a 7-0 lead. Cejudo scored again on a gut wrench that went hand-to-hand, making the score 8-0. Cejudo finished the match with a five-point throw, getting one more point for appreciation. 130 Chase Metcalf (Michigan) dec. Quincy Osborn (Minnesota), 9-7 First Period: Metcalf was whistled for passivity with 40 seconds left in the period. Osborn scored on two gut wrenches and a lift to take a 6-0 lead. Second Period: Metcalf scored a takedown to cut the lead to 6-1. He then scored two exposure points on a gut wrench and held it for a five-count, cutting the lead to 6-4. Metcalf was warned for fleeing the mat, extending Osborn's lead to 7-4. As Osborn tried to roll Metcalf, he went to his back and Metcalf caught him there, tying the match at 7-7 with 12 seconds left. From par terre, Metcalf scored on a gut wrench with 5 seconds remaining to win. 135 Todd Meneely (Nebraska) won by tech. fall over Casey Lawson (Utah), 12-0 in 2:01 First Period: Meneely scored three points immediately by taking Lawson to his back with a front headlock. Meneely then scored a gut wrench at the edge of the mat to extend his lead to 5-0. Meneely finished the match with a cut wrench and a front headlock throw. 140 Cheney Haight (Utah) dec. Andy Simmons (Michigan), 4-1 First Period: Haight scores on a takedown and then two exposure points for a 3-0 lead. Second Period: With 11 seconds remaining, Simmons and Haight went out of bounds. Simmons was awarded one point for Haight fleeing the mat. When Simmons tried to get on top in par terre, the official cautioned him for a false start. He then awarded a point to Haight and put Simmons on bottom. 145 Danny Cadwallader (California) dec. Keith Gavin (Pennsylvania), 5-0 ot First Period: Cadwallader scored a point off a takedown. Second Period: Cadwallader scored another takedown to take a 2-0 lead. Overtime: Cadwallader scored three points on a throw from par terre to win the match. 152 Travis Paulson (Iowa) and Trent Paulson (Iowa) - co-champions 160 Joe Henning (Wisconsin) won by inj. def. over Charles Brown (Illinois) First Period: Brown scored a takedown for a 1-0 lead. Brown was whistled for passivity and placed on bottom. Henning scored on a gut wrench to take a 2-0 lead. Second Period: Henning used a body lock to put Brown to his back as the period started. After being on his back for over 90 seconds, Brown fought loose and earned a reversal. He almost scored on a lift, but Henning had good body control in the air and did not give up exposure points. Henning threw Brown again with a front headlock, but the action was stopped as Brown squirmed in pain. 171 Matt Herrington (New York) dec. Mark Mueller (Iowa), 8-2 First Round: Herrington came out quick, scoring a takedown and two exposure points for a 3-0 lead. Herrington extended his lead to 5-0 with a gut wrench. Herrington was whistled for passivity and while Mueller was trying to get on top, Herrington was penalized one point for false start cautions. Second Period: Herrington extended his lead to 8-1 after two gut wrenches to start the period after Mueller was whistled for passivity. Mueller scored a takedown after Herrington slipped in his throw attempt. 189 J.D. Bergman (Ohio) pin Phil Davis (Pennsylvania), 1:26 First Period: Bergman used a body lock to put Davis to his back right off the whistle. Bergman held him there until he earned the pin. 215 Nick Terbay (Ohio) won by tech. fall over Bridger Sacher (Oregon), 13-2 in 2:55 275 Cole Konrad (Wisconsin) dec. Jon May (Minnesota), 4-2 First Period: Down 2-0 late in the period, Konrad used a gut wrench to tie the match at 2-2. Second Period: Midway through the period, Konrad used a gut wrench to tilt May for two more points, taking a 4-2 lead.
