U.S. Olympic Complex Enhancing Visitor Experience

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The U.S. Olympic Committee has announced new additions to the U.S. Olympic Complex in Colorado Springs that will enhance the overall visitor experience and satisfy appetites.    New to the USOC Visitor Center is the popular Quinby's Grill, which will be serving up grilled treats and refreshments from 10 a.m. ? 4 p.m. seven days a week through August 15.  Quinby's Grill is well established throughout Colorado Springs and the local area with grill locations at two Colorado Springs Home Depot locations. USOC Food Services will also be offering fresh baked cookies and popcorn seven days a week at the newly renovated vending operations inside the Visitor's Center. In addition, beginning June 19 from 7:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. and every Wednesday throughout the summer, the USOC Visitor Center will also be selling fresh Krispy Kreme donuts and coffee.    The culinary additions are part of the USOC's mission to provide better fan or visitor experience when visiting the U.S. Olympic Complex.    The U.S. Olympic Committee Visitor Center is the primary support facility serving the general public and providing information about the USOC, the U.S. Olympic Training Centers and the Olympic Movement. The 20,475-foot facility is centered at the main entrance to the U.S. Olympic Complex in Colorado Springs and links to the other USOC facilities via the Irwin Belk Olympic Path, which includes outdoor exhibits and displays for all 45 Olympic and Pan American Games sports, as well as representation of the disabled sports. The $8 million building features a roof-top terrace that includes an Olympic Flame display and offers panoramic views of the entire complex, as well as the nearby sports sculpture garden.    The USOC offers free tours of its 35-acre headquarters and training facilities.  Tours run every half hour from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 10 a.m. ? 4 p.m. on Sunday during the summer months.  Visitors can also check out the USOC Spirit Store offering Olympic sports merchandise and gift items unavailable elsewhere as well as the "Bronze on Ice" Art Exhibit inside the U.S. Olympic Hall of Fame Room.
