The University of Minnesota wrestling team announced the signing of four top recruits to join the Golden Gophers in the 2002-03 wrestling season. Bob Lowe, Quincy Osborne, Danny Williams and Andrew Domingues have all signed letters of intent. In addition, Cesar Marin has been accepted to the University and will walk on the Minnesota squad. They join Wisconsin residents Willy Holst and Cole Konrad as recruits for the 2002-03 season. Lowe, a transfer from Iowa Central Junior College, will join the Maroon and Gold as a sophomore. A redshirt at Iowa Central JC in 2001-02, Lowe was the 125 pound Junior College National Champion in 2001. He is projected to compete for Minnesota's vacant 125-pound starting position. Osborne, Williams and Domingues come to Gold Country as freshmen with impressive credentials. Osborne, a native of Grand Rapids, Minn., is a two-time Minnesota State Champion at Grand Rapids High School. Undefeated in his senior season, he is currently ranked eighth at 119 pounds on Amateur Wrestling News1 high school rankings. He is projected to wrestle at 133 pounds. Williams, a native of Indianapolis, Ind., joins the Golden Gophers as a two-time Indiana State Champion. Williams broke his leg in December 2001 and returned to capture the state title in his senior season. He is projected to wrestle at 149 pounds. Domingues, a native of Santa Maria, Calif., comes to Minnesota as a standout grappler at Righetti High School. He finished fourth at 112 pounds at the 2002 High School Nationals and is projected to wrestle at 125 pounds for the Maroon and Gold. Marin, set to join Minnesota as a walk-on, is a native of Industry, Calif.
