(Lock Haven, Pa.) - Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania Head Wrestling Coach Carl Poff was voted the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Coach of the Year for the second-straight year by the league's head coaches. Coach Poff, in his 12th season as the Bald Eagles' mentor, was selected as the Coach of the Year for the sixth time in his career. This season, Poff directed Lock Haven to a second-place finish at the PSAC Championships and a third-place finish at the Eastern Wrestling League (EWL) Championships. Five individual Bald Eagles earned PSAC titles, while one was crowned EWL champion. During the regular dual meet season, Poff's squad finished 17-4 overall, raising his career mark to 167-62-3 and establishing him as Lock Haven's all-time coaching wins leader. On a national scale, Poff guided 149-pounder JaMarr Billman and 141-pounder Mike Maney to All-America status and has now coached a total of 13 wrestlers to top-eight status throughout his tenure. As a team, the Bald Eagles finished in a three-way tie for 19th place at the 2002 NCAA Division I National Championships. The PSAC Wrestler of the Year award went to Edinboro University's Josh Koscheck, while the Fighting Scots' Shawn Bunch was honored with the Rookie of the Year award.
