Lee Fullhart (Havre, Mont./Hawkeye WC) has been named to the U.S. team that will compete at the Northern Quest 2002 World Cup of Wrestling in Spokane, Wash., April 6-7, announced National Freestyle Coach Kevin Jackson. Fullhart will compete at 84 kg/185 lbs.     Jackson has also announced that 2001 World silver medalist Brandon Eggum (Minneapolis, Minn./Minnesota Storm) will not participate, due to an injury in training.    Fullhart currently holds the No. 4 national team ranking at his weight class. He placed third in the 2000 Olympic Team Trials, and has twice placed third at the U.S. Nationals (2000-01).     Among his international achievements are silver medals at the 2002 Dave Schultz Memorial International, the 2001 Takhti Cup in Iran and the 1999 Clansman International Open in Canada. Fullhart was also the 2001 Manitoba Open champion.    Fullhart was a 1997 NCAA Div. I champion competing for the Univ. of Iowa, and a four-time All-American, placing fourth or higher each year. He is orginally from Decorah High School in Iowa.    This season, Fullhart served as an assistant coach for the Montana State Univ.-Northern, helping lead the Northern Lights to a second-place finish at the NAIA National Championships.    The United States won the Freestyle World Cup when it was held in Spokane in 1999 and has won four of the past five team titles. The other international wrestling powers expected are Russia, Korea, Germany and Canada.     The Quad State Cup, a USA Wrestling event for athletes from Kids through Open, will be held alongside the World Cup. Young wrestlers can do both - wrestle and watch!
