125 - Stephen Abas, Fresno State    "It feels great. I'm glad it's over. Now I can concentrate on freestyle and win a World title or two. The one thing about college wrestling is there is a lot of pressure, with the school and with the fans. Freestyle is a lot different and I expect to do great things with that. This feels like a great burden is over. There is so much pressure. It was great to have been so well received by the crowd."    "I took my shots when I had to and I scored when I needed to. My toughest finals was last year against Strittmatter. He got some shots on me and he is very tough. "    (about being a champion before)  "There's not an advantage. Every year is tough. Eustice came around this year and came at it hard.     (about going to the World Championships in November)  It helped me a little, getting there before and getting that experience. There is nothing like wrestling at the highest level. It was kind of hard to get motivated this year. I knew everybody wanted to come hard at me."    133 - Johnny Thompson, Oklahoma State    (about his move for reversal and backpoints)    "It's an OSU Special. I was scrambling around and I just end up there sometimes. The back points just came, and that's the way you end up. It was nothing big; I just kind of fell into it."    (about his final shot which almost slipped away as time ended)  "I had a warning. I wanted to get in on a shot and score. I just took the shot and had to hold on."    (about being in the finals before)  "It's not easy ever. Being there before, and being on that stage, it helped me to prepare."    141 - Aaron Holker, Iowa State    "I think being funky is natural. I tried to follow Bobby Douglas' technique, but with my body shape this is natural. For me, it just happens. I always get in scary positions."    "I didn't know I would win until the last takedown in the first period. Usually, he takes me down first. So when I got the first takedown, I had a lot of confidence."    (about where he considered going to school when BYU dropped wrestling)    "A lot of places. I planned on doing a LDS mission, which I still will do. I went there through the Sandersons. Bobby Douglas came to my house. They (the Sandersons) recruited me hard; it was their relentless pursuit. The just kept calling me."    149 - Jared Lawrence, Univ. of Minnesota    "This sounds great. The greatest feeling in the world."    "I wanted to stay on him and move more. There was not a lot that I could do. The first takedown is huge, especially at the end. It is really big. That way he can't get a point back on you."    (about winning a team title and an individual title)  "They are both real good. Winning the individual title is the highest high you can have."    (about his individual quest)  "Usually, I have been for the team, making sure the team was good. The coaches told me I had to be selfish, just for myself. This year, I just worried about me. It was a lot more about myself this year."    (about having finalists this year)  "It's great to have people in the finals. The coaches get all dressed up and show everyone what they have done."    157 - Luke Becker, Univ. of Minnesota    (about the first takedown)  "It's really big right now. With the new rules, the first offensive point picks the position in double overtime. The last time we went to double overtime, but he had the first takedown."    (at the end of the match)  "I was looking for an opening. I didn't see an opening. I tried to wrestle smart."    (about winning alongside his roomate Jared Lawrence)    "It always is great. Every time Lawrence steps on the mat, he is victorious it seems. We are roomates. We work out every day. It makes this special. I want to find him now and celebrate."    (meeting Snyder again)  "It's the seventh time. It helps. We are very cautious. I know his big moves and he knows mine."    165 - Joe Heskett, Iowa State    "This took too long. This is great. It's not just about winning. There has been a lot of anticipation, a lot of disappointment. It has almost been worth the wait…but not really."    "I felt I could get to his legs. I had to be patient. I felt that I was the safest way, the best bet. To get those points was important."    "I felt good conditioning wise. I knew there was 20 seconds left. I my mind, I felt I could get the takedown."    "This is pure elation. It's not just an NCAA Championships. I'm thankful to God, my grandparents, my friends and my fans. It has been a great road."    174 - Greg Jones, West Virginia    "This feels good, regardless if my brother has been in the finals. It's a long season and it's a great way to end."    "Over the season, I got a lot better. I knew what to expect in this match. It just all worked. He's unorthodox."    184 - Rob Rohn, Lehigh    "I've got nothing to save it for. This is my last match. If I had to crawl off the mat, I'd crawl. If they had to drag me off the mat, they'd have to drag me."    (THE "move")  "It's called the special. It's a version of the cement job. The same move, only you roll underneath. I've always had it in my back pocket."    "It was do or die. If I get teched, who cares."    "I'm going to be remembered for moves I only hit once in my college career."    197 - Cael Sanderson, Iowa State    (about how it feels)  "I don't really know. It is definetely a relief. Every year it got different. I tried to keep it the same. I'd try to put on a smile. I had a lot of help to get through it."    "I didn't know what to expect. The two times I wrestled him, he wrestled differently. I have a lot of respect for him. He's dangerous. You saw what happened with his teammate in the match before. I can't say it wasn't on my mind."    "I wish I was a little better speaker. I can't describe my emotions. Before the finals, I looked up at the Iowa State fans and I almost cried, so I looked away."    "I am going to try to relax. I have a lot of work still to do. I have a lot of goals to go for.:    "I look back on this match and wish I could have taken more shots. I think about that. It feels good to be here right now."    "It is just different. I can't describe it. It gives you more to think about. That was what I was fighting."    HWT - Tommy Rowlands, Ohio State    "My coaches kept reminding me that there might be delays, because of Cael. I was ready for that. I expected a 10 minute delay, and that was about what it was."    "My assistant coach Kenny Ramsey told me to stay focused, and be prepared to lose the flip. I hate to end the match with the flip. There has to be something to be done with the double overtime rule. I like it the old fashioned way, the first point wins."    "I had confidence going into the double overtime. I decided that I would ride him."
