On Wednesday, March 10, 2002, the annual Delaware State Wrestling Awards Banquet will be held at the Modern Maturity Center on 1121 Forest Avenue located in Dover, DE. The guest speaker will be retired Marine Corps Lt General Martin Steele, president and CEO of the Intrepid Air Space Museim in New York. The Marines and the National Wrestling Coaches Association have joined together in a National Wrestling Leadership Development Coalition. The Delaware Wrestling Alliance Academic All State Wrestling Teams which featured 35 first team members, 32 second team members and 66 honorable mention members. The High School All State Wrestling team featuring the No 1 wrestler (2002 State Champions) Other events will be as follows: DWA Delaware Wrestling Officials Association scholarship recipients. Division I and II Coaches and Assistant Coaches of the Year. The Bill Laurelli Team Sportsmanship Award and Official of the Year.
