It is a key late season matchup between Big Ten rivals Ohio State and Michigan. And it has nothing to do with football. Third-ranked Ohio State and fifth-ranked Michigan will meet in a key Big Ten wrestling showdown on Sunday in Columbus. Before Michigan faces the Buckeyes, the Wolverines travel to Penn State on Friday night. The Ohio State-Michigan matchup features two ranked wrestlers in 7 of the 10 weight classes. At 133, Michigan's No. 7 Foley Dowd is slated to meet No. 11 Jeff Ratliff of Ohio State. At 149, No. 7 Michael Kulczycki of Michigan will face No. 9 Keaton Anderson of OSU. At 157, No. 5 Ryan Bertin of Michigan is set to battle No. 8 Josh Janson of Ohio State. The matchup at 165 features No. 7 John Clark of OSU and No. 9 Charles Martelli of Michigan. Top-ranked Andrew Hrovat of Michigan will wrestle No. 17 Anton Talamantes of OSU at 184. In the 197 bout, No. 4 Nick Preston of OSU will battle No. 5 Kyle Smith of Michigan. The heavyweight matchup will see No. 2 Tommy Rowlands of Ohio State taking on No. 13 Matt Brink of Michigan. Top-ranked Minnesota, coming off a home win over No. 2 Iowa last week, will wrestle at Northwestern on Friday and travel to No. 15 Purdue on Sunday. The Iowa Hawkeyes meet Penn State on Sunday at home. Fourth-ranked Oklahoma State wrestles at Michigan State on Saturday. Sixth-ranked Oklahoma will compete at Nebraska on Friday and at Missouri on Sunday. Seventh-ranked Iowa State meets No. 9 Missouri on Thursday at home before traveling to Arizona State on Sunday. Iowa State's Cael Sanderson is 148-0 in his career. Sanderson is scheduled to face No. 7 Scott Barker of Missouri and No. 9 Erik Gladish of Arizona State in his next two matches.
