LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ--Sophomore Carl Schmidt of Drexel University has been named the Colonial Athletic Association Wrestler of the Week, and freshman Jon Masa of Hofstra University has been named the CAA Rookie of the Week, for all competition January 29-February 4.    Schmidt (Sewell, NJ/Washington Township High School) won all four of his bouts last week, including three CAA matches, to improve to 7-2 in CAA competition.  The fourth ranked 165 in the CAA, Schmidt pinned Ben Schliens of Boston University and also won by fall over Matt Gaimari of Boston College.  Schmidt collected a major decision against Sean Jenkins of Brown to improve to 17-8 overall.    Masa (Long Beach, NY/Long Beach High) pinned Harvard's Jonathan Mankovich to give Hofstra a 24-15 lead over Harvard in the 24-18 victory. The top ranked 141 in the CAA, Masa now has five falls and an overall record of 21-6.
