LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) - The NCAA is set to release Wednesday the findings of its investigation into possible rules infractions by the Nebraska's wrestling and swimming and diving programs. The university conducted internal investigations into both sports programs and presented its findings to the NCAA last year. Athletic director Bill Byrne said the investigation into the wrestling program involved allegations that former coach Tim Neumann improperly paid players cash. Neumann resigned in April 2000. Byrne has said that the investigation into the swimming and diving program involved major infractions but did not elaborate. He said the allegations were one of the reasons the athletic department decided last spring to drop men's swimming and diving as a varsity sport. Former swimming and diving coach Cal Bentz and three longtime assistants were suspended in September 2000 when the university began its investigation into that program. Bentz retired three months later. On The 'Net: http://www.huskers.com http://www.ncaa.org
