NCEP certification is required by USA Wrestling, the National Governing Body of Amateur wrestling, for coaches to participate in state, regional, national, and international events. If you're an active wrestling coach, you need to get NCEP certified! By completing the certification process at the Bronze Level, you will receive the Copper Certified Card, and Certificate allowing you to coach at USA Wrestling events across the country. Coaches who are Copper certified are leaders in the wrestling community and are then encouraged to pursue further education through NCEP by completing the Bronze, Silver, and Gold levels. Once, a coach is Copper certified he/she can attend the National Coaches Colleges held annually. The Coaches College is a five-day intensive study of the sport of wrestling. This past year six coaches completed their Silver Certification and three achieved Gold Level Certification.
