NYC2012, which was the organizing committee for the 2001 Senior World Championships, which were to be held in New York City, has made available for sale commemorative items from the Championships.    The net proceeds from the sale of these will be donated to the Twin Towers Fund in New York City.  The Twin Towers fund, established by Mayor Rudolf Giuliani, was created to assist, support, and recognize the families of the members of uniformed services of the New York City Fire Department and its Emergency Medical Services Command, the New York City Police Department, the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, the New York State Office of Court Administration and other governmental officers who lost their lives or were injured because of the tragedies of September 11, 2001 at the World Trade Center in New York City.
