Copper Certification Course Through USA Wrestling's National Coaches Education Program Sunday November 4th, at 2:00 p.m. Hilltop High School Wrestling Room In Chula Vista, California Registration 7 - 8:00 A.M. Clinic 8:00 A.M. - 12:00 Noon USA Wrestling's Coaches Education Program is designed to give coaches a foundation of successful coaching principles to help grow the base of amateur wrestling throughout the country. The National Coaches Education Program (NCEP) certified over 1,100 coaches nationally last year at the Bronze Level. NCEP certification is required by USA Wrestling, the National Governing Body of Amateur wrestling, for coaches to participate in state, regional, national, and international events. If you're an active wrestling coach, you need to get NCEP certified! By completing the certification process at the Bronze Level, you will receive the Copper Certified Card, and Certificate allowing you to coach at USA Wrestling events across the country. Also, you will receive for future reference the Rookie Coaches Guide, a $25 value. Coaches who are Copper certified are leaders in the wrestling community and are then encouraged to pursue further education through NCEP by completing the Bronze, Silver, and Gold levels. Once, a coach is Copper certified he/she can attend the National Coaches Colleges held annually. The Coaches College is a five-day intensive study of the sport of wrestling. This past year six coaches completed their Silver Certification and three achieved Gold Level Certification. Active development of wrestling coaches is the overall priority for the National Coaches Education Program.
