Cooper Wins Silver Medal and the United States Finishes Fifth as a Team at the   2001 CISM World Military Championships       2001 World Team member Marcel Cooper (Triangle, Va./U.S. Marine Corps) won the silver medal at 152 pounds in Greco-Roman at the 2001 CISM World Championships held in Split, Croatia, Oct. 11-14.      CISM stands for the International Military Sports Council and its theme is "Friendship Through Sports." The United States finished fourth in the freestyle competition, eighth in Greco-Roman and fifth place overall.       Four  members of the U.S. Greco-Roman team finished in the top ten of their weight classes. Cooper won the silver medal, Aaron Sieracki (Colorado Springs, Colo./U.S. Air Force) finished fourth at 187.25 pounds, Michel Santos (Colorado Springs, Colo./U.S. Army) finished sixth at 119 pounds and Keith Sieracki (Colorado Springs, Colo./U.S. Army) finished ninth at 167.5 pounds.     All eight of the U.S. freestyle wrestlers finished in the top 10 of their weight classes. Brian Van Hoven (Quantico, Va./U.S. Marine Corps) finished fourth at 167.5 pounds, Frank Workman (Quantico, Va./U.S. Marine Corps) finished fourth at 286 pounds and Santos finished fifth at 119 pounds. Four wrestlers finished in seventh place: Jeff Bedard (Colorado Springs, Colo./U.S. Army) at 127.75 pounds, Jason Kutz (Colorado Springs, Colo./U.S. Army) at 138.75 pounds, James Shillow (Quantico, Va./U.S. Marine Corps) at 152 pounds and 2001 World Team member Jason Loukides (Colorado Springs, Colo./U.S. Army) at 213.75 pounds. Jake Clark (Woodbridge, Va./U.S. Marine Corps) finished in eighth place at 187.25 pounds.     The United States was led by Head Coach Jay Antonelli of the U.S. Marine Corps and Assistant Coach Shon Lewis of the U.S. Army. The Team Leader was Van Stokes of the U.S. Army.
