Bronze Certification Course Through USA Wrestling's National Coaches Education Program Salina, Kansas at the Read Coach Inn November 3rd, 2001 at 2:30 Kansas leads the nation in the number of Bronze certified coaches nationally. Come be a part of this clinic presented by the highly organized USA Wrestling state association of Kansas. USA Wrestling's Coaches Education Program is designed to give coaches a foundation of successful coaching principles to help grow the base of amateur wrestling throughout the country. The National Coaches Education Program (NCEP) certified over 1,100 coaches nationally last year at the Bronze Level. The Bronze Level course covers in detail topics relating to the sport of wrestling. Any coach or parent interested in enhancing youth experience in wrestling will learn from USA Wrestling's course. The National Coaches Education Program encourages all coaches to become NCEP certified so they can be active members of USA Wrestling, the organization that grows the sport of wrestling from the youth level to the Olympic level. By completing the certification process at the Bronze Level, you will receive the Bronze Certified Card, and Certificate allowing you to coach at USA Wrestling events across the country. Also, you will receive for future reference the Coach's Guide to Excellence, a $30 value. Finally, as an added bonus for completing the Bronze level, you will receive the official Bronze Certified Coach's shirt, a $25 value. Coaches who are Bronze certified are leaders in the wrestling community and are then encouraged to pursue further education through NCEP by completing the Silver and Gold levels. Once, a coach is Bronze certified he/she can attend the National Coaches Colleges held annually. The Coaches College is a five-day intensive study of the sport of wrestling. This past year, three more coaches achieved Gold Level status. Dr. Dave Bennett of Colorado Springs, Tadaaki Hatta of Ohio and Sam Minardi of Florida were recognized as Gold Level coaches by USA Wrestling. USA Wrestling encourages all active wrestling coaches to take the lead in building the sport of wrestling and attend a Bronze-Certification course in your area!
