Last chance Bronze Clinic in Amarillo, Texas set for November 10th

Texas has hosted a series of highly attended and well-received Bronze Clinics this summer and fall.  The Texas USAW organization has become a thriving state organization of USA Wrestling.      Wrestling coaches for high school are encouraged to attend a Bronze clinic to gain the knowledge that the clinic offers to wrestling related topics.  Additionally, Coaches will become active participants in the National Governing Body of amateur wrestling.  Please reserve your space in this last-chance clinic in the Amarillo area prior to the kick-off of the high school wrestling season.      Saturday November 10th, 2001    Caprock High Wrestling Room  Amarillo, Texas  3001 East 34th    Why it is important to be certified?  Professional Advancement  Active Participation with National Governing Body of Amateur Wrestling  Liability and Risk Management  Certification at USAW Sanctioned Events  Active Involvement with State USAW Organization    Sections to be covered:  Philosophy of Coaching, Risk Management, Effective Teaching  Program Development  Psychology of Coaching  Developing Wrestling Skills  Training & Nutrition  Sports Medicine    Cost:  All participants must purchase the book to become certified  $20.00 - Tuition Fees  $30.00 - Book  $50.00 - Total for the Clinic    All people working to obtain certification through NCEP must hold a valid USAW Coaches card. Cards will be sold at the clinic. ($25)    Time Schedule:   Registration 8:30 a.m.   Clinic Starts 9:00 a.m.  Break at Noon for lunch  Afternoon Class 1:00 p.m.  Test 4:30 p.m.    Each individual will receive a Bronze Coaches card, Bronze Certification to signify completion of the Bronze level of the National Coaches Education Program and a Bronze Certified Coaches shirt to wear at USA Wrestling Sanctioned Meets.
